Mohamed underwent a minor skin graft surgery Wednesday (Nov. 19) to repair a small area of skin. "Mohammed did fine," said his craniofacial surgeon, Dr. David Genecov. "The surgery went well and he received a 24-cm-square split thickness skin graft. He was playing in the room later that day. Both boys are both are continuing their therapy and making good progress."
Today (Thursday, Nov. 20), Ahmed, the quieter of the two boys, was sitting up, smiling, playing with his therapist, batting at his toys and enjoying his therapy session. Meanwhile his brother Mohamed snuggled in with his mother for a nap.
